Free’ist takes part in NI’s first BBC Good Food show!

Free’ist took part in the unforgettable BBC Good Food show at the Waterfront Hall Belfast along with some of TV’s favourite chefs – The Hairy Bikers, James Martin, Paul Hollywood & Paul Rankin, and, the region’s very best producers of food, drink & artisan products.

It was said to be “The ultimate day out for food lovers”.

Along with various other local companies such as Linwoods, Tayto and Moy Park, Free’ist had the opportunity to present their extensive product range at the first ever BBC Good Food show in NI. However, Free’ist was the only product at the show with a full range of sugar free products!

Customers and residents of Northern Ireland were very impressed with the products on display and often said that not only could they not distinguish between the taste of Free’ists products and other products, but many often thought the product tasted better!

Free’ist attend ploughing championships as a record attendance is set

The free’ist team would be set to travel to Tullamore, county Offaly, to represent the Free’ist brand once again as a record attendance of 280,000 people is set for a 3 day event!

The undoubted stars of the last day were the O’Donovan brothers, Paul and Gary and large crowds turned up to see them sign autographs and have photographs taken with the Olympians.

2000 more people attended the Ploughing Championships this year than last year and the Free’ist team were gifted with the opportunity to communicate with customers first hand and allow them to sample and/or purchase some of the products. As always, there was a great turnout for the company and customers were very impressed with the extensive range of products!

Free’ist be some yoke at the National Ploughing Championships!

Ireland’s National Ploughing Championships 2015 took place in Co. Laois for their second consecutive year at the location. Free’ist were lucky enough once again to be a part of it. Again, record breaking crowds descended on the green fields of Ratheniska to experience the championships. The total attendance for this year was a record breaking 281,000 – more than 75,000 on the opening day, 127,000 on the second day, &, 76,500 on the final day.

It was an incredible atmosphere both inside the tent and outside of the tent. Free’ist were there to give visitors the chance to taste their brand new popcorn, marshmallows and breakfast biscuits. The sugar free Caramel Crunch popcorn went down an absolute treat with everyone. And it will be off to Tullamore, County Offaly, for next year’s championships and we hope to see you all there!

Free’ist exhibits at Tesco Taste Northern Ireland Festival

The 18th to the 20th September saw the Tesco Taste Northern Ireland Food Festival take place at Custom House Square in Belfast. The event, which is now in its seventh year, saw its biggest crowds yet this year. The festival showcased some of Northern Ireland top producers and suppliers to the Northern Irish retail market, but the show was there to highlight everything that is great about Northern Ireland’s food and drink industry.

Free’ist were there to offer a tasting session to consumers to give them an idea of how tasty the sugar free / no added sugar treats they do actually taste, with highlighting their brand new marshmallows and breakfast biscuits which are in store now.

Free’ist exhibit at the Allergy & Free From Show in London

Free’ist for the first time took part in the Allergy and Free From Show in London from the 3rd to the 5th of July.

The three day event, which attracted members of the public to come along from all over the UK (many of themselves that have, or, have relatives with a food intolerance), was hugely successful and there was roughly an attendance of over 50,000 people over the 3 days.

We were very well received with phone calls, emails, Twitter messages and Facebook messages all coming through as to where they could purchase the sugar free products again. But what a lot of people were surprised at when they came to the stand, was that the Free’ist chocolate, jam, popcorn and marshmallows were also gluten free, and, the marshmallows were also allergen free!
