Gluten-Free Pop Up Shop Opens in Dublin

Unglu-d is a Gluten-Free Shop that has re-opened its doors this year for a longer duration due to the increased demand for Gluten Free Foods.

The shop itself is situated in Unit 3 Royal Hibernian Way, Dawson Street, Dublin 2 and has partnered with a variety of big brands including Free’ist to bring consumers a special Gluten-Free Shopping Experience.

The creator of Unglu-d is Aileen Markey, a Coeliac herself. She was diagnosed a couple of years and decided to test the concept of having a store completely dedicated for Coeliacs and individuals who are Gluten Intolerant.

According to the Ireland Coeliac Society, Ireland is considered one of the countries with the highest coeliac disease  rates in the world. A possible reason for this may be the Irish diets, which are historically rich in Cereals and Wheat laded foods.

Unglu-d are stocking our Free’ist Gluten-Free Range which includes our six Chocolate Bars, Popcorns, Marshmallows & Jams.

Sugar Free S’mores

A S’more is a traditional camping snack that has been popular with kids and their parents for years. Although many different varieties of S’mores have developed over time, the S’more is basically a sandwich of roasted marshmallows & chocolate between two biscuits.

Here at Free’ist, we have developed our own variety – SUGAR FREE S’MORES

Once you’ve done one, you’ll want to do s’more and s’more..

PREP TIME: 5 minutes
COOK TIME: 2 minutes

INGREDIENTS
Free’ist Sugar Free Tea Biscuits (Buy here)
Free’ist Sugar Free Marshmallows (Buy here)
Free’ist Sugar Free Dark Chocolate (Buy here)

METHOD
1. Over a bonfire, campfire or BBQ toast your marshmallows for 1-2 minutes until they start to melt, bubble and caramelise.

2. Remove the marshmallows from the heat and spoon them onto a tea biscuit.

3. Top the marshmallow layer with a square of Free’ist dark chocolate and top the s’more sandwich with another tea biscuit. Press together to allow the chocolate melt into the hot marshmallows

If you don’t have an open fire you can always recreate this recipe using the microwave or oven.

On a plate (or baking tray if using the oven) place a tea biscuit, topped with three Free’ist marshmallows and a square of dark chocolate.

Microwave for 15-20 seconds or oven cook at 180 °C for 3-5 minutes, so the marshmallow and chocolate start to melt. Remove and top with a second tea biscuit.

Thanks to Vicky at The Flourishing Pantry for co-creation.

The UK’s top healthy products retailer, Holland & Barrett, has recently approached Free’ist and listed their products, growing again their free from category range. Free’ist exhibit at the Allergy & Free From Show in London

Free’ist for the first time took part in the Allergy and Free From Show in London from the 3rd to the 5th of July.

The three day event, which attracted members of the public to come along from all over the UK (many of themselves that have, or, have relatives with a food intolerance), was hugely successful and there was roughly an attendance of over 50,000 people over the 3 days.

We were very well received with phone calls, emails, Twitter messages and Facebook messages all coming through as to where they could purchase the sugar free products again. But what a lot of people were surprised at when they came to the stand, was that the Free’ist chocolate, jam, popcorn and marshmallows were also gluten free, and, the marshmallows were also allergen free!

If you have any questions or want to know any more information about Free’ist, please send us over an email to freeist@gmmarketing.co.uk and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Free’ist’s Export Business continues to grow significantly!

Free’ist in the last few months have been gaining significant business for their range of sugar free products in the Middle East, particularly the United Arab Emirates.

With the help of Pan Euro Food in Dublin, the Supermarket chains of Spinney’s and Carrefour, have taken on the brand and so far it has been very successful, especially with the likes of consumers who are health conscious and want to reduce their sugar intake.

In the Middle East, obesity and diabetes are a growing concern, so a unique business opportunity came about to offer the scrumptious and sugar free products to consumers living there – obviously, they seem to be enjoying it!
